Webinar on UNWTO/IPSOS Global survey on the perception of residents towards city tourism: impact and measures

The Webinar on UNWTO/IPSOS Global survey on the perception of residents towards city tourism: impact and measures, will present the results of the online survey, which gathered responses from 12,000 people in 15 countries, and conducted to collect insights and better understand the perception of residents towards city tourism, its impacts, as well as the most adequate strategies to manage the growing tourism flows in cities.

Findings of the survey include: 47% of respondents claimed that "they live in cities with a large number of tourists", more than 50% considered that tourism has a positive impact on the generation of wealth and the promotion of cultural exchanges, and 49% considered that they should adopt measures that help to improve tourism management. Only 12% of the respondents were in favor of the limitations in the number of visitors. This information and much more will be presented in the Webinar.
